I’m Ready For The World Of Travel!

So another year has gone, and a new one has graced me with its presence.  Last year wasn’t anywhere near as productive as I expected, and you better believe that 2014 is going to be different!  I have big dreams, big goals and plans to make them come to life.  Last year, one of my goals was to become fluent in Spanish.  While I wouldn’t go as far as to say that I’m now fully fluent…. I’m now definitely conversationally fluent, and as a traveller that is quite sufficient. Cheers for that!!

This year, there’s going to be a lot more movement on this site.  I plan to post at least once a week, I will travel more and I will be taking a gazillion photos to remember all the events in detail.  I have a really good feeling about 2014, and I don’t mean that in a sappy, ‘New Year Resolution’ sort of way.  I spent most of 2013 focusing on my career, and that’s a really good thing, but I’m not getting any younger and the world is rapidly changing. If I don’t travel now, who knows what I might miss out on?!

For the past few weeks I’ve been making the initial preparations for a travel filled 2014.  Saving as many coins as possible, creating to-do lists every other day and browsing through a bunch of travel related sites.  I’ve done this before, so it should be easier, but it’s honestly not.

However, I believe where there is a will, there is most definitely a way. Hopefully you’ll join me for another year on TravelsinTransit.com.  I’m promising a hell of a ride!

About Jodi

I absolutely love to travel. Most days, it's hard to focus on anything else. However, I'd like to change my travel style from now on. I have always been a 'safe' traveler, with hotel reservations made, cruise vacations and a set timetable. I want to break out of that habit, and become an independent backpacker. This blog will serve to document my aspirations to experiment with traveling solo, around the world!

  1. Felicitaciones por haber aprendido español 🙂
Nice post , good luck with your future travel plans !

  2. Good to see you back, Jodi! 2013 was a quiet year for me too in terms of travel, plus my site got hacked and then I got busy really focusing on with my career too. How do you plan on managing your career with lots of travel time? In Canada, the norm is 2 weeks vacation. I’m fortunate I have more than most, but still nearly not enough for someone who has a passion for travel! I’m really excited to follow along with you on your blog!

    • Hey Vanny! Usually I get about 1 month vacation every year, but since I didn’t use any days in 2013 due to work, the days rolled over into this year. I have 2-3 months of paid vacation days now! Happy you’re following and as usual your input is highly appreciated 🙂 Happy travels!

  3. Looking forward to reading more of your adventures, Jodi! 😀
