Greetings From Trinidad!

I’m still alive! I really am sorry that I’ve disappeared for the past 3 weeks, and I have quite a bit of catching up to do.

What is Trinidad like in one word: INTENSE.

Maybe, if this was a regular trip, things wouldn’t be so hectic, but the Aviation course that I am currently on is extremely fast-paced. I have three different tests every Friday, on information given from the Monday to Thursday of that week. Yes, they give material on Thursday for you to know by heart the next day.

Other than school, everything is going well. I love  my new apartment and the neighbourhood that I’m living in. I’m located in an area a short distance away from the Piarco International Airport, called Arima. The district has a very safe feeling to it, and I believe I’m going to love it here.

I will do a photo post soon, so keep tuned!

Thanks to everyone for their continued support and understanding!

About Jodi

I absolutely love to travel. Most days, it's hard to focus on anything else. However, I'd like to change my travel style from now on. I have always been a 'safe' traveler, with hotel reservations made, cruise vacations and a set timetable. I want to break out of that habit, and become an independent backpacker. This blog will serve to document my aspirations to experiment with traveling solo, around the world!

  1. Hang in there and remember to have some fun too:) Happy Saturday!

    • It’s definitely not easy to return to school after being out for almost 5 years, but I’m doing well. Also, because I’m pleased with my grades, I’ve been going out every weekend so far! LOL. Thanks for the encouragement!! 😀

  2. Hi,
I’m happy to hear that everything is going well, and you love your apartment, that is great. I will be waiting to see some photos. 🙂

    • Thanks! All is most definitely well…(apart from the sleepless nights due to studying). The school is very modern, I’m training with people from all over the Caribbean, from as far North as the Cayman islands. The mixture of accents is very interesting! Everyone gets along, so you know that makes everything a bit easier. Thanks for the support 🙂

  3. Relocating is always difficult, even if only temporary. Sounds like you’re making the best of the situation. Can’t wait to see the pics!

    • I’m pretty much getting the hang of things now 🙂 Yesterday after school, I went to the mall alone and came back after dark. I needed some new jeans, since the life change caused a fair amount of stress, resulting in me dropping an entire jeans size! So far, everything and everyone has been awesome! Thanks for reading and commenting as always Vanny!

  4. Take your time Jodi! We aren’t going anywhere 🙂
